(Hannah and Annie sitting in the coffee shop)

Hannah: what’s going on with you and jack?

Annie: he just ended it with me

Hannah: Why?

Annie: I don’t know he hasn’t said

Hannah: Are you upset?

Annie; A little bit like I thought it was going well but obviously not

Hannah: right ready to go?

Annie: yeah

(Hannah and Annie begin to leave)

Hannah: okay, you never know someone else might come along

(Kieran and Annie bump into each other)

Kieran: ohh sorry

Annie: it’s alright

(Kieran meets up with juber at the coffee shop)

Juber: you alright mate how’s it going?

(Kieran looks at annie walking away)

Kieran; yeah, yeah are you alright?

Juber: what’s wrong?

Kieran: nothing, umm did you see that girl?

Juber: yeah, she was alright

Kieran: she looked nice didn’t she?

Juber yeah, go for it

Kieran: yeah

(Cooking class scene)

(Annie entering class)

Annie: That’s it I’m done with him now, um ive got to go because of my cooking class thanks for the coffee bye

(Kieran entering class)

Kieran: yeah I really think I liked her but I guess ill never get to see her again, look I’m at cooking class at the moment I’ll call you back.

(Kieran walks up to Annie)

Kieran: Excuse me do you have any… (pauses)

(Annie interrupts)

Annie: cupcake cases?

(Annie creates mixture)

(Kieran puts the cake in the oven)

(Annie and Kieran take the cake out of the oven together)

These are different ideas for the title of our film, they were all created via dafont.com

As you can see there is a large variety to choose from, now as a group we will decide which one best suits our film.

IDeas for Magazines

Magazine research

I started magazine research to see how to promote are film best and how to attract to people to see it so I began to look at "Empire" but straight away noticed that it wasn't the right audience or gender off films. 

Realizing our film didn't fit with the same gender of films like blockbusters, and feel that it is more of an independent film and fits in more with the magazine 

"Sight and sound"

There is some similarities between the magazines that they both have there names printed so it is see easy to see and eye catching. And there front cover both focus on a film on the main actor /actors. The difference with these magazines is one is more focus on "hollywood and blockbusters" and sight and sound is more for independent films. Also we take into account about the colour scheme used as they're not bright and colourful. However, it proposes a dull and mystic grey and white colour that links to history and old fashion film probably. With not that many colour used in this magazine. 

creating poster ideas

I created this poster idea via Adobe Photoshop Elements 9, I found it fairly easy and quick to design.

 

I firstly needed to find a background that ties in with the theme of our trailer. I found this by searching for silhouette backgrounds on Google Images. the reason I chose to search for silhouette backgrounds is simply because the people in the image do not have to look like our main characters. I chose the image above because it is romantic and it fits in with the theme of our trailer.

After finding my image I then imported it into Photoshop and added the title Piece of Cake and also added the words Coming Soon to make it obvious that it is a poster.

This is the final image of the poster idea, it is simple but I believe this is not necessarily a bad thing because most films make their posters in the same way.

The following things all all features of film and specifically film trailers that we felt were important to include

List of production team names and roles

This is a feature that is seen in almost every Hollywood film and we felt adding it will give our trailer a more professional feel to it. I modelled our one on the trailer of Somebody Up There Likes Me

We also got this Tribeca Film animation from the trailer of Somebody Up there Likes Me

This is the animated background we used to present casting information and magazine quotes, we used an animated background to engage the audience so that they are not just reading text on a blank background. we felt adding this to our trailer added to the image of our trailer making it more aesthetically pleasing.

Having said this, we did have trouble adding this background to our film, as we needed software to convert this video from You Tube. But the school did not have the resources to do so we needed to upload the video from home bring it into school via USB.

Amanda Kaletsky - Say you Believe

Amanda recently released her third full-length album, “Without You,” and continues to perform at a variety of venues in the Northeast. She also sings the National Anthem regularly for the New York Islanders and at other professional sporting events.

When deciding what song to use we considered how close the song is to the attributes we desired for our soundtrack. these were:

• A female singer
• to be in the pop genre
• to have some relation to love and relationship
• for the artist to be unsigned
• to have a 'chick flick' feel to it
• to tell a story
• to make the audience emotionally connected to the characters

This song ticked all of these boxes and as a group we agreed it was perfect for our trailer.

When looking for a soundtrack for our trailer we wanted it to have the following qualities:

• For the artist to be unsigned
• To have a 'chick flick' feel to it
